The Gaßmeyer Förderkreis e.V. (Gassmeyer Promotion Circle)
The Gaßmeyer Förderkreis e.V. was reestablished in 1993, setting itself the goal to support – materially and ideologically – the Graupa Wagner Museum in its multiple activities. This follows the precepts of the museum founder, Prof. Dr. Max Gaßmeyer (1864-1935). The circle currently has 60 members, throughout Germany, mostly in the Dresden and Pirna region.
Still dreaming, or already Wagner-ing?
Become a member of the Gaßmeyer Förderkreis e.V., Richard Wagner Stätten Graupa!
The circle’s activities are many-faceted and fascinating. It aids the Richard Wagner Stätten Graupa with donations, but also supports the museum’s daily operations by supporting and organizing lectures, concerts and other events.
It thereby provides a platform for civic commitment to Wagner’s music and cultural heritage. This forms a counterpart to public arts funding, expanding the public framework by infusing private ideas as well as energy. The members receive priority access and discounts to most of the Wagner Stääten facilities and events.
